Bengaluru: The special team of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) which is assigned to investigate DySP MK Ganapathy’s suicide case was in action. The team quizzed the close family members and associates on Saturday, July 9.

According to police sources, the team received contradictory statements from the family members about the deceased officer. The officer’s track record will also be looked into and his subordinates too will be questioned in the coming days, sources said.
Hence, CID DIG Hemanth Nimbalkar refused to comment and said, “It’s too early to say anything about the case,” when the media asked about the preliminary findings in the case.
Sources said that, the entire unedited video footage of the deceased officer’s last interview has been fetched and being investigated.
Meanwhile, the government is likely to handover the case to judicial inquiry to save its face in the ongoing assembly session.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is likely to announce his decision on judicial inquiry on the floors on Monday.
