Bengaluru: The request of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) investigation into the suicide case of deputy superintendent of police (DySP), M K Ganapathi, was refused by the High Court of Karnataka on Tuesday, September 20.

CID investigation done to prove three accused innocent: M K Machaiah-1Justice S Abdul Nazeer, heading the single judge bench of the high court dismissed the application of Father of Ganapathy, M K Kushalappa, and younger brother, M K Machaiah, who sought directions to entrust the case to CBI for investigation. The father and son had done so as they felt that the CID inquiry was not done with sincerity. The bench observed that there was no need for a CBI inquiry as the CID had already completed its probe and submitted its report.

It may be brought to light that, CID had filed its ‘B’ report in the court on September 17 after completing its investigation giving clean chit to former minister, K J George, and senior police officers, A M Prasad and Pranab Mohanty, the three accused in the DySP Ganapathi suicide case.
