Bengaluru: The Department of State Educational Research and Training (DSERT) has prepared a draft Standard Operating Procedure (SoP) to start schools across the state.
Schools across the state have been shut since March last week, due to Corona pandemic.
Primary and secondary education minister Suresh Kumar confirmed that the SoP has been prepared. “It has been sent to all. SoP will be finalised after taking the feedback from all the stakeholders,” he said.
According to the draft SoP, it has been proposed to allow the students to enter the class rooms only after a thermal check up.
The schools will be asked to hold classes in two shifts according to the space available. In school vehicles only 50% of the seats shall be filled up.
The SoP proposed a school-level health committee to monitor the health of all the students and ensure healthy practice among the students to keep the Covid-19 at bay.
According to the sources, a final decision on the issue of re-opening of schools shall be taken only after the center’s nod.
