Bengaluru: Following an early morning raid on the residence of actor Sajana Galrani in Indiranagar, the Central Crime Branch probing the drug abuse in the Kannada film industry, on Tuesday arrested the actor.

A team of officers armed with a search warrant raided the actor’s house and conducted searches. She was taken to the CCB office in Chamrajapete for interrogation.

Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Sandeep Patil told TNIE that besides Sanjana’s house, the residence of another accused in the case, Viren Khanna, was also raided after obtaining search warrants from the court.

Sources said that Sanjana’s house was raided following information revealed by other accused already in the case.

It is said that Rahul, Galrani friend was booked in the drug case and since then even Galrani was under the scanner of the CCB.

This is the second arrest of an actor in the drug scandal after Ragini Dwivedi.

So far 13 people have been booked and six arrested.
