Bengaluru: With all the districts reporting a huge surge in the Covid 19 cases, the state government has decided to ask students not to visit schools till October 15.

New DPI commissioner V Anbu Kumar issued an order in this regard.

As per the Unlock 4.0 rules, the central government had decided to allow students studying between Class IX and XII to visit their schools on a voluntary basis and discuss subjects with their teachers.

However, this rule will not be applicable in Karnataka as the ban has been extended from September 30 to October 15.

This means, all the schools and PU colleges will remain shut till October 15.
