Bangalore: Rukhsar (22), a resident of Padarayanapura in JJ Nagar, committed suicide at her house on Saturday afternoon as she was unable to bear the harassment she suffered at the hands of her husbands and in-laws who were demanding dowry from her.

Rukhsar, who was married to Anees (27), a mechanic by profession was expecting her third child shortly. It has been said that she committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling when the family members had gone to a relative’s place for a visit.

She is said to have still been breathing while the in-laws reached back, and was rushed to the hospital. However, the doctors were unable to save her. The police, who had been informed of the incident by then, arrested the husband as well as the in-laws and are interrogating them.
