Don’t want to miss muhuratham, Nikhil-Revati’s marriage will be held on Apr 17: HDK

Bengaluru: Former Karnataka chief minister H D Kumaraswamy has decided that he will go ahead with the marriage of his son Nikhil, despite the ongoing lockdown.

Speaking to ANI, the JD(S) leader said that the marriage will be a closed-door event with about 50 people. “Only family members will be present for the wedding. All precautionary measures will be followed, as per the government’s guidelines,” he said.

It can be recalled that Sandalwood actor who turned politician during the Lok Sabha elections, Nikhil Kumaraswamy’s marriage is set to marry Revati, the niece of former Congress minister M Krishnappa on April 17.

The H D Deve Gowda family is well-known for their staunch belief in astrology, which is why the family is determined to go ahead with the wedding.

“The date was fixed months ago and we cannot miss the holy muhuratham. That is why we are going ahead with the marriage on the decided date,” Kumaraswamy added.

According to a report by ANI, the marriage rituals will be performed at Revati’s residence. Had things gone according to plan, the marriage would have been held near Ramanagar.
