Bengaluru: After the Karnataka High Court declined to grant Congress leader D K Shivakumar protection from arrest, he launched a scathing attack against Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa.
Accusing the CM of indulging in “vindictive politics”, he said, “Chief Minister Yediyurappa had said that he would not indulge in vindictive politics. But now, he is sowing seeds of vindictiveness after assuming power.”
He was speaking to the media before leaving for Delhi to appear before the Enforcement Directorate in connection with a money laundering case, as per a report by ANI.
Earlier, the Congress leader had downplayed the corruption charges levelled against him. He had termed the whole situation a “conspiracy” and proclaimed his innocence in the case.
“I have not made any mistake, murder or indulged in corruption,” he had said, adding that the money found during the IT raid was earned by him.
Stating that he has been a law-abiding citizen all his life, he said that he has already answered questions on different issues and is willing to answer more questions if there are any.
