Bengaluru: PWD Minister HD Revanna has often made vague statements and in his latest, the minister has linked SSLC results to politics.
He said that Dakshina Kannada district took a nosedive in SSLC ranking because the people of the district voted for the BJP!
It can be recalled that the KSEEB announced SSLC 2019 results on Tuesday. Udupi secured fifth place in the state while Dakshina Kannada slipped to 7th rank.
Speaking to the reporters in Hassan, Revanna stated that every time Dakshina Kannada was topping the state ranking list, but as they voted for the BJP, this time the district lost its glory.
“If they voted for us (Congress-JDS alliance), they would have retained the rank,” he said.
He also stated his wife, ZP member Bhavani Revanna also played a role in the improvement in the SSLC results of the Hassan district.
Hassan and Ramnagar districts bagged first two positions in the state in the SSLC results and soon netizens questioned the same considering the fact the districts never performed too well in the past. Questioning if there was a connection between CM HD Kumarswamy holding the education portfolio and his hometurfs surprisingly climbing up the academic ladder, netizens suspected that there was something fishy.
Revanna’s statement however supports the argument of the netizens.
