Bengaluru: Amidst outrage over the mysterious death of an upright IAS officer DK Ravi in Karnataka, the officer’s wife Kusuma has been hospitalised due to exhaustion and stress.
Kusuma’s father said she fell ill after reading newspaper reports on her personal life. Her father also said that they will be filing a defammation case against a newspaper for mis-reporting.
Ravi, a 2009 batch IAS officer, who had taken on the sand mafia in Karnataka was found dead in mysterious circumstances on Monday at his residence in Bengaluru.
The matter of Ravi’s death and demands for a fair probe was discussed in Parliament also. Home Minister Rajnath offered CBI enquiry into the IAS officer’s death.
If the state government recommends a CBI probe, the Centre will immediately order an enquiry by the central investigating agency, Singh had said in Lok Sabha on Friday.
