Bengaluru: Family members of IAS officer D K Ravi, along with supporters picketed the homes of Union Ministers and BJP leaders on Sunday, pressing for making public the CBI report on death of Ravi.
Over the last five days, Ravi’s mother Gauramma, father Kariyappa, brother Ramesh and hundreds of supporters have been staging stir at Anandrao Circle.
On Sunday, they picketed the residence of Union Law Minister Sadananda Gowda, Minister for Fertilizers Ananth Kumar and BJP National Vice-President B S Yeddyurappa in Bengaluru.
The step was taken by the family as the CBI is under the purview of the central government.
Meanwhile, Kariayappa, who took ill on Sunday was admitted to M S Ramaiah Hospital.
On March 16, 2015, D K Ravi, who was posted as Additional Commissioner of Commercial Tax Department was found dead in his official residence.
The death had sparked widespread protests by Ravi’s supporters who suspected foul play. However, another theory claimed that Ravi, who had ventured into real estate business had ended life.The case was handed over to the CBI, which is yet to submit its final report.
