Bengaluru: JD (S) Supremo HD Devegowda called on Anand Kumar, who consumed poison in front of Chikballapur DC office over crop loss, on Thursday at Victoria hospital.

He consoled the family of the farmer who is battling for life in Intensive Care Unit (ICU). His condition is said to be critical.

Devegowda assured all possible help from his party to the farmer’s family.

Anand Kumar had grown cashew nuts and was heartbroken when the minimum price quoted was too low. Soon, he headed towards DC office premises and consumed poison in distress.
