Bengaluru: The Bengaluru police on Friday discovered over Rs 100 crore in demonetised notes during a raid at the residence and office of Nagaraj alias Bomb Naga, an ex-corporator and also a rowdy-sheeter at Srirampura here.
The police, after availing a search warrant from the court, conducted a raid on Bomb Naga’s residence and office at Srirampuram in Bengaluru west suburb area. The raid was conducted based on a complaint filed by a businessman against Bomb Naga and his associates.
The businessman complained to the police that Bomb Naga and his associates had kidnapped him recently and released him only after receiving Rs 50 lakh.
The police had to wait outside for more than an hour since Bomb Naga’s family members locked the main door from inside thus preventing police entering their home. The police had to avail the services of a blacksmith to cut the window grill and open the door. Later they police entered Bomb Naga’s residence by breaking a window.
