Bengaluru: A devotee of Pejavara Matha by name Krishnaraja has lodged a complaint against music director Hamsalekha over a recent viral video in which he spoke about late Vishwesha Theertha seer of Pejavara Matha’s visit to the Dalit colonies, food habits and caste system.
He alleged that Hamsalekha’s statement hurt his religious sentiments. He further alleged that the music director made derogatory remarks about God Biligiri Ranganatha Swamy.
Meanwhile, pro-Hindutva and progressive thinkers continued a debate over Hamsalekha’s statement. Progressive thinkers justified Hamsalekha’s statement saying that he has spoken the truth. However, pro-Hindutva thinkers raised voice against his statement saying it is aimed at dividing the society.
