Bengaluru: Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy has stated that the state government is left with only a few options regarding the KSRTC and BMTC fare revision.

Speaking to reporters, the CM said that the financial health of all the state-run public transport corporations is sinking. “But we are exploring all the possibilities including government support for the ailing corporations,” he said.

“Tax on diesel and petrol has been increased as we had slashed it when the price was high. It is a natural phenomenon and the same strategy is being followed everywhere,” he added.
