Won’t let country to walk on wrong path: Modi

Davangere: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the gathering at the ‘Vikas Parv’ rally at Davangere on Sunday and said that he will never let the country walk on the wrong path.

He said that he wants to thanks people and take their blessings for co-operating in the development process of the country.
 
“The previous governments had succumbed to pressure from the powerful petrol-diesel lobby and that adversely affected the sugarcane farmers,” he said.

He expressed his government’s resolve to raise the limit of Ethanol mix in petrol and diesel from the current 5%.

“It will end the heavy dependence of farmers on sugar factories, growers can get their dues in time while factories can up their profits by increasing Ethanol production,” he added.

Modi credited his government for dismantling the hold of middlemen in government functioning. He also said that his government had done away with 1,200 obsolete laws.

Former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa who spoke on the occasion calimed that he would form the next government and appealed to the people overthrow the “corrupt Congress government” in the state.
