Davangere: A rally has been scheduled here on Saturday to mark the second anniversary of the state government headed by Chief minister Siddaramaiah. Big guns of the Congress party are set to launch an offensive against the BJP government headed by PM Narendra Modi.

Mallikarjuna Kharge, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, general secretary in-charge of Karnataka Digvijay Singh, former union ministers Jairam Ramesh and Ghulam Nabi Azad will be leading from the front.

They would make most of the opportunity to highlight the achievements of the state government and send across a message to the people that it has pulled out all stops to develop the state.

It would also serve as the ideal platform for the party to launch its campaign for forthcoming Gram Panchayat polls.
