Davanagere: In a rather unfortunate comment, Congress senior leader Mallikarjuna Kharge said that Northeast election results are like just like ‘Aaya Ram…Gaya Ram’ and they will not affect the upcoming Assembly elections of the Karnataka.

Kharge said that there was communist government in Tripura from past 25 years and now the BJP has come. In Meghalaya, Congress has emerged as the single largest party and it will form the government. “We will definitely come to power in Karnataka. Saffron brigade will never be able to snatch power from our hand,” he said.

Kharge complained that the media and the BJP are trying to portray that there are differences within Congress. “However, we will not fear their tactics. Whatever they do to pull our MLAs towards them, our men will stay away forever from the BJP,” he hoped.

When Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is depicting himself as the next chief minister, Kharge said that High-command will take the decision on it. We will face the election together. There is a Review committee for the distribution of tickets and the process will be done soon, he concluded.
