Davanagere: A proposal has been submitted to the Government to construct a well-equipped stadium for the practice of wrestling, kabaddi, kho-kho, weightlifting, powerlifting, and volleyball, which are famous in the region, stated Davanagere University Vice-Chancellor Prof. B. D. Kumbara.
In a press release, he stated that it is proposed to arrange for training by experts to inculcate sports skills. In addition practicing on mat for kabaddi and wrestlers too has been proposed, he said.
He added, “New rules and regulations have been formulated to select the best players and teams.”
