Davanagere: All India Veerashaiva Lingayat Mahasabha’s National President Shamanur Shivashankarappa said that the 23rd session of the Akhila Bharatha Veerashaiva Lingayat Mahasabha, scheduled from December 24 to 26 in the MBA College Ground in Davanagere has been postponed to February. It will start from February 11 and will be on till February 13.
Speaking at a press conference on Sunday December 18 he said, “The ongoing the winter session is underway from Monday December 19 at Suvarna Soudha in Belagavi. Many of the ideologies in the Mahasabha session are directional and valuable to the society and hence they are unable to participate. Therefore, the session of the Mahasabha has been postponed as many representatives of the society are of the view that it should be postponed, he noted.
“Some District Presidents in North Karnataka had said that the time available for organising the session was less. The 23rd session of the Mahasabha, which was scheduled to be held in Davanagere, has been postponed taken into account the public view as well, he said and clarified that the session has not been cancelled and postponed.
