Bengaluru: Primary and Second Education Minister S Suresh Kumar, on Wednesday, June 3, clarified that the government has not set July 1 as the date for the reopening of schools.
Speaking to reporters, he said that July 1 is just the date planned by the education department to open the schools.
He added before the schools are reopened, the opinion of the parents will be gathered and that a meeting of school development and monitoring committees and parents has been convened from June 11 to 13 at the school level for this purpose.
The government will take a decision based on the guidelines of the Union government.
Safety measures that are to be taken for SSLC exams will be continued once schools are reopened.
