State-run aircraft maker Hindustan Aeronautics Limited has appointed D K Venkatesh as Director (Engineering and R&D).

Earlier, he was holding the charge of the same post as Officer on Special Duty (OSD), HAL said in a release.

The post of Engineering and R&D Director is newly created as a part ofrestructuring of HAL’s Board with effect from April 1, 2015.
