Bengaluru: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President D. K. Shivakumar alleged that State Government was fudging the Covid – 19 death toll and that the State in fact has the highest death toll from the infection. He demanded an audit in this regard.

Speaking to media persons here on Sunday May 30, he alleged that government has been reporting only 30% of deaths in the State so has to hide the State Government’s failure in handling the Covid crisis. He added that he was alleging the government based on the inputs provided by Congress party workers from across the state.

Further, he demanded the government to conduct audit across the state to get the real figures of Covid deaths and thus help beneficiaries get benefits announced by State and Central governments.
