Bangalore : Former MP D.B.Chandregowda is likely to be appointed as Governor of Rajasthan. If at all reports in this regard are true then another Kannadiga will be the Governor of Rajasthan where Margaret Alva, also from Karnataka, is presently serving as Governor since the past two years.
BJP sources meanwhile say that Governor’s post is almost certain for Chandregowda and Justice Rama Jois.
Chandregowda had refrained from contesting from his Bangalore North constituency during the previous Lok Sabha elections to order to make way for former CM and present Union Railway Minister DV Sadananda Gowda.
On the other hand, it is not yet sure as to the state where Justice Rama Jois who will be retiring as Rajya Sabha member, would be posted as governor.
Though rumours are doing the rounds that Legislative Council Chairmen DH Shankermurthi too may get a Governor’s post, there is no confirmation in this regard as to yet.
