Bengaluru: A cyclone named ‘Gaja’ is likely to hit the coast of Tamil Nadu in a few days from now. Due to its impact, even the IT City is expected to receive moderate to heavy rainfall.

Director, Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre, G S Srinivasa Reddy said that the south interior places and coastal Karnataka are likely to witness heavy rainfall from Thursday, November 15.

The cyclone is due to depression over Andaman and Nicobar Islands and the Bay of Bengal.
