CT Ravi appointed as BJP south India in-charge

Bengaluru: Kannada and culture minister CT Ravi, who is also the Chikkamagalur district in-charge minister has now been made the BJP South Indian in charge.

He is the first leader from the state to reach to this post.

Party national president JP Nadda made this announcement.

A few days ago, Ravi was made party national general secretary, following which Ravi tendered resignation for his minister post. However, the resignation has not been accepted till now.

Ravi, a MLA from Chikkamagalur is considered as one of the staunch, disciplined party worker. He rose to fame with Bababudangiri shrine controversy.

A four-time MLA from Chikkamagalur, he became minister for the first time in the year 2008.
