Cross voting: JD(S) suspends eight disloyal MLAs

Bengaluru: Janata dal (Secular) Supremo H D Devegowda has suspended  eight  rebel MLAs  from the party for carrying out anti-party activities.
The decision to suspend them was expected as they went against the party whip and cross voted during the Rajya Sabha polls held on June 11.

Their move is believed to be the main reason behind defeat of JD(S) official candidate B M Farooq.

The suspended MLAs are Zameer Ahmed Khan ,HC Balakrishna, Gopaliah ,Cheluavaraya Swamy, Ramesh Bandisiddegowda, Akhanda Srinivas , Bheema  Naik and Iqbal Ansari.

The party executive committee took this decision during its meeting held on Sunday in Bengaluru.
