Mangaluru: District in-charge Secretary V. Ponnuraj said that Covid infection could be controlled when medical professionals were able to carry out their duties without delay.

He was speaking at a meeting with officials on Covid-19 Control and Management at the DC office on Monday.

He said, the daily swab collection, their transmission should be given in a quick manner. The test results must be given without delay. The Covid patients must be treated on priority, he added.

Deputy Commissioner Rajendra K V said the mobile swab collection vehicles are commissioned to collect samples in every taluk of the district. The hospitals must follow the guidelines issued by the government in treating Covid patients.

District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Dr. Kumar, MCC Commissioner Akshay Sridhar, Superintendent of Police Rishikesh, District Health and Family Welfare Officer, and others were also present.
