Bengaluru: The state government banned the entry of tourists to all the tourism hubs of the state including famed Hampi, Mysuru palace, Nagarahole national park, Bandipur tiger reserve etc. All the 9 zoos of the state are closed to the public.
This decision is effective starting from Sunday. The restrictions are imposed through an order by the respective Deputy Commissioners of each district.
Already, the state government has banned the entry of the tourists to many places like Madikeri, Chikkamagalur etc.
According to the sources, for the first time, Mysuru palace and Bandipur forest have been banned for tourism activities.
“The state government is following strict measures to ensure that the Coronavirus does not spread in the state,” said officials from the health department
