Bengaluru: Owing to the spread of coronavirus, the death of a septuagenarian in Kalaburagi just a few days ago, the Government of Karnataka, on Friday, March 13, cancelled the examinations of the students from classes 1 to 6.
According to a notice released on Friday night, examinations for primary classes 1 to 6 stand cancelled. “Students are to be promoted on the basis of papers that have already been answered,” the order stated.
For the students of classes 7 to 9, the notification has advised that the “holidays from March 14 should be treated as revision holidays”.
They should appear for exams on the scheduled days. “Exams must be conducted before March 23 for students of class 7, 8 and 9,” the notification read.
There are no changes in the exam schedule for class 10 students.
