Bengaluru: Demand for the cancellation of the three-day RSS convention scheduled at Janaseva Vidya Kendra in Chennenahalli of the city is growing louder in the backdrop of the restrictions imposed by the Government of Karnataka to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

The annual RSS convention is scheduled to begin on Sunday, March 15 and conclude on March 17. RSS chief Mohan Bhagavath, BJP national president J P Nadda, VHP president Vishnu Sadashiva Kokke, other prominent figures and over 1,500 delegates are expected to participate in the event.

Several activists used social media to raise concerns against the event following the COVID-19 outbreak in the country and one death in the state. Renowned activist Parvateesh Bilidale raised the issue on social media asking authorities to look into the event as the state government has banned all kinds of mass events, to curb the spread of the deadly disease.
