Bengaluru: Among the frontline Covid-19 warriors, poura karmikas are now the worst-hit by the Covid 19 cases. 

Till now, 816 poura karmikas have tested positive for Covid-19, which has affected the garbage collection and disposal in the city.

According to the BBMP sources, as many as 15,774 poura karmikas have been tested for the Covid-19 and among them 816 tested positive.

It can be recalled that three poura karmikas died due to the Covid-19 earlier in the city

Even though there is a surge in the Covid-19 cases in the city, poura karmikas continue to serve the society which has won the appreciation of all.
