Bengaluru: Justice S. Abdul Nazeer of the Karnataka High Court wound up the petition filed by the husband of a woman IAS officer, against making or publishing any report or statement on the investigation into IAS officer D.K. Ravi’s death, as the State, on Wednesday, had averred that it would not make or publish any report or statement on the issue since the probe into the case has been transferred to the Central Bureau of Investigation.

The petitioner, Sudhir Reddy, husband of the woman IAS officer, agreed not to press the petition further. The court, on March 22, had passed the interim order restraining the State from making public any information on the probe.
Also, the court returned to the government counsel a sealed cover that contained WhatsApp and SMS shared between Ravi and the petitioner’s wife; her statement to the CID; and a status report on the probe by the CID. The court also returned the sealed cover that was submitted by the petitioner’s counsel containing his wife’s statement given to the CID.
