Bengaluru: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) member in the Legislative Council V Somanna on Thursday alleged Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s hand behind the move to regulate mutts and temples.
Speaking to media persons here, Somanna described the state government as a mad government. “Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has lost his mind. This is a sensitive issue that will upset the peace in the state. The CM is out to become a villain. Let him reveal who is behind this unholy thought of controlling mutts. Does this government have minimum common sense?” he asked.
Somanna said that he had no knowledge of minister A Krishnappa and his son joining the BJP. He added that it will not make any difference if they join or not. The BJP national leaders will take a call on this issue, he averred.
He said that the BJP would begin its second leg of campaigning from Friday. The second leg will be flagged off by State BJP President B S Yeddyurappa, he informed reporters.
