
Bengaluru: As the Tipu Jayanti is approaching the developments in the political arena of the state is heating up. Having seen some tragic episodes in the past, the state government is adamant on celebrating the same, while a section including the BJP has been opposing the same.
Now, the Congress party has warned the Bharatiya Janata Party of stern action if it instigates communal disharmony regarding Tipu’s birth anniversary celebration.
Speaking to the reporters Deputy Chief Minister, G Parameshwar has said that the BJP was trying to create communal tension, and thr Congress party will stand against it.
As the BJP and the RSS have termed the celebration as a strategy for minority appeasement, Parameshwar has said that even union minister Ananthkumar Hegde is invited, and it is left up to him whether to attend or not.
