He, while speaking in the Assembly on December 19, 1995, had said that inter-state water disputes should be resolved by Prime Minister convening the meeting of Chief Ministers. Now, he is telling that Prime Minister Narendra Modi cannot intervene in the dispute,” Ugrappa said.

Coming down heavily on Fali S Nariman for informing the Supreme Court that he doesn’t want to argue on behalf of Karnataka, Ugrappa said that Nariman has been arguing in the Supreme Court on behalf of Karnataka for more than 30 years.”I expect him to support Karnataka since he has taken fees from Karnataka for more than 30 years,” he said.
