Bengaluru: The attack by the Congress over the JD(S) fielding BM Farooq has not gone well with the JD(S).

Reacting to DK Shivakumar’s statement regarding JDS fielding Farooq, HD Kumaraswamy said that so called secular party- the Congress is trying to disintegrate another secular party in the state making path for a communal to take advantage of it.

“The Congress is my first enemy and will not tolerate any sort of unethical political moves aimed at our party,” he said.

Earlier, DK Shivakumar, threw ‘tirades’ at JDS leaders for fielding Farooq, who it claims as its party worker.

Meanwhile, former CM Yeddyurappa, said that party is open for all sorts of political moves to secure two RS seats from the state that it is running short of.

With the BJP and the JD(S) winning one seat each easily, they may have to resort to some political engineering for the second seat. With Tuesday, May 31 being the last day for filing nomination, the list of contestants from all the parties will be clear by Tuesday evening.
