Congress gets ready for BBMP elections

Bengaluru: As the BBMP elections get closer – the deadline is three months – the Congress party convened a meeting on Tuesday to discuss how to take on the BJP.
Reportedly at the meeting the decided to list out the reported irregularities committed by the BJP when it headed the civic body. City leaders including ministers Ramalinga Reddy, Dinesh Gundu Rao, B?L?Shankar among others, attended the meeting, for which a committee headed by former mayor P?R?Ramesh should take up the exercise. Shankar asked the party workers to be articulate when it comes to highlighting the ommissions and commissions of the BJP.

 The party also told the workers to take up the ongoing membership drive seriously. The BBMP elections may be held either by July-end or August beginning, party sources said.
