Bengaluru: The Congress party has released a list of candidates for all 15 Assembly constituencies, where by-polls will be held on December 5.

According to the list, K B Koliwad has been given the ticket to contest in Ranebennur, Bheema Naik for Yallapur, B H Bannikod for Hirekerur, M Anjanappa for Chikkaballapur, Padmavati Suresh for Hoskote, M Shivaraj for Mahalakshmi Layout, H P Manjunath for Hunsur and M Narayanswamy for K R Pura.

Apart from this, the election for two MLC posts will be held simultaneously, and the party has decided to field Dr R M Kuberappa from the Karnataka West Graduates Constituency and Sharanappa Mattur from the North East Graduates Constituency.

By-polls have been necessitated in the 15 Assembly constituencies after their respective MLAs resigned from their posts, causing the erstwhile Congress-JD(S) coalition government to collapse.
