Bengaluru: Amid the confusions and resignation row by over 13 MLAs of Congress-Janata Dal (S) state coalition government, yet another MLA joined the list. Congress MLA from Shivajinagar Assembly Constituency Roshan Baig too resigned as legislator, here on Sunday, July 7.
Speaking to media he said that he would submit his resignation on Monday or by Tuesday.
“Former chief minister and CLP leader Siddaramaiah is mainly responsible for this move of mine”, criticized Baig.
Adding to this, he said, “The people in the Congress party are unhappy by the behaviour of Siddaramaiah. The party has suspended me. The reason for the misconduct of the party is Siddaramaiah. I’ll not elaborate on this. I’m not an aspirant of any ministry in the state coalition. I’m happy that MLA Ramalinga Reddy has taken such a firm decision of resigning.”
It can be recalled that Roshan Baig had waged a cold war on Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President Dinesh Gundu Rao and Congress State In-charge K C Venugopal, for which the party had summoned him to clarify on his statement. As he did not respond to it, he was suspended.
