
Bengaluru: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president D.K. Shivakumar said the government should offer financial assistance and deposit money in the accounts of the poor, who will be income less in this 14-day period.
He also demanded the waiver of interest on loans of up to Rs 10 lakh and a moratorium for two years on repayment of loans.
Further, Shivakumar and other senior Congress leaders of the state decided to establish a State-level COVID-19 centre in Bengaluru after a discussion on Tuesday April 27 with the All-India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary in-charge of Karnataka, Randeep Surjewala in a virtual conference.
In the conference, the leaders were suggested to write to the Chief Minister demanding the immediate announcement of a financial package for the needy poor.
