H D Kote: Following the death of a college student after a quack administered injection, the health departmental officials conducted raids on clinics and medical shops and sealed them at several places in H D Kote taluk on November 15.

Pooja Clinic and Shamana Hospital in H D Kote, Mariappa Clinic at Handpost and Durga Clinic in Sargur were sealed after they failed to furnish requisite documents to the raiding team.

At Shaman Hospital, the officials noticed distribution of tablets after their expiry date. The hospital registered as Ayurvedic hospital was found giving allopathic medicine during the raids.

The situation was no different at Durga Clinic in Sargur where Dr. Chaitra was found giving allopathic drugs after registering as Ayurvedic doctor. A case stands registered at Sargur Police Station after health officials sealed the clinic.

The raids were jointly conducted by health department officials in coordination with police and taluk administration.

A college student named Ankusha died recently after a quack named Raju injected her few days ago in Hampapura village limits of H D Kote taluk.
