CM HDK to visit Sulwadi temple on Tuesday

Bengaluru: Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy will visit the Sulwadi Maramma temple on Tuesday noon. He is expected to visit the Maramma temple where poison-laced food was distributed for over 100 devotees, which claimed the lives of 17 people till now.

According to the sources in the Chamarajanagar district administration, CM HDK will land at Bidarahalli helipad at 2.15 pm. “It is a new helipad. From Bengaluru, the CM will travel to Sulwadi in a special copter. Later, he is expected to meet the locals and console the families of the deceased devotees,” said an officer.

Speaking to the reporters at Mysuru, former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda informed that he has directed the CM to visit the tragedy struck temple. “He will visit in one or two days,” he said.
