Bengaluru: After Mandya, CM HD Kumaraswamy and major irrigation minister DKShi will launch a joint campaign in Shivamogga today. The major attraction of their campaign is that they will hold a massive rally at Shikaripura, home turf of former CM and BJP state president BS Yeddyurappa.

According to the election managers of the alliance candidate Madhu Bangarappa, HDK and DKSHi will arrive at Shivamogga in the morning. “They will start the campaign at Anavatti near Soraba. Later, they will hold a rally in Anaveri village. In the noon, they will hold a rally in Shikaripura town,” said a JDS leader.

“DK Shi is expected to stay back in the district to coordinate the election strategy for Madhu Bangarappa, who is his close friend,” he explained.

Meanwhile, on Thursday, former CM SM Krishna is likely to visit Shivamogga to campaign for BJP candidate BY Raghavendra.
