Bengaluru: Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy apologised for his brother PWD minister HD Revanna’s statement against actress Sumalatha.

Speaking to the reporters in the city, CM HDK made it clear that his brother’s statement was unintentional and not aimed at defaming or humiliating Sumalatha.

“I am apologising on behalf of my brother. Our family respects women a lot. It is our family culture,” he stated.

“Our family has great respect for all the women. This is a bad situation. The words are blown out of proportion, but it is my duty to apologise,” he stated.

Meanwhile, party state unit president AH Vishwanath also apologised for HD Revanna’s statement.
