Bengaluru: The Covid-19 scare continues to spread like a wildfire in the state. On Friday, Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa’s office “Krishna” and health minister B Sreeramulu’s official residence on Race Course Road have been sealed after a police head constable tested positive for Covid-19.
All of the CM’s official programmes scheduled to be held at “Krishna” have been moved to the Vidhana Soudha, while Sreeramulu moved to his private home in the city.
This news comes as a big shocker for the people of the state as the state has only just begun restarting its economy.
“The biggest issue is that there social distancing measures and precautions are not being taken by the public. If the state government does not tighten the screws, the situation may become serious,” warned officials.
According to a report by the Bangalore Mirror, officials in the CMO have ruled out any threat and BBMP Commissioner BH Anil Kumar said that Krishna’s premises will be shut for the day. The premises will also be fully sanitised.
The report adds that the CM’s office will likely be shut for the next two days.
