Bengaluru: Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa will offer Bagina at the KRS dam in Mandya and Kabini dam in HD Kote on August 21.

Both the reservoirs which are considered as the lifeline of the old Mysuru region have filled up following heavy rainfall in Kodagu and Wayanad in Kerala.

The decision to offer Bagina, a form of puja thanking the river goddess was taken after BSY recovered from COVID 19 and doctors permitted him to travel outside of Bengaluru.

It will be the CM’s first visit outside Bengaluru after COVID 19 breakout in the state in the last week of March.

CM will be accompanied by revenue minister R Ashok and others.
