Bengaluru: Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, who had recently said that he will remain away from the Sira and RR Nagar by-poll campaigning, has now changed his mind.
The CM will campaign for the BJP candidates in both the constituencies. He will be in Sira on October 30 to campaign for Rajesh Gowda and in RR Nagar on October 31 to campaign for Muniratna.
The by-polls are being held in Sira after the death of sitting MLA Sathyanarayana, while the seat in RR Nagar fell vacant after sitting MLA Muniratna changed loyalties from the Congress to the BJP.
The elections will be held on November 3.
While Kusuma H has been fielded by the Congress in the RR Nagar constituency, the JD(S) has fieled Krishnamurthy. Similarly, the JD(S) has fielded Ammajamma, wife of deceased MLA Sathyanarayana from Sira, while the Congress has fielded TB Jayachandra.
