Bengaluru: The rebels who left their parties to join the BJP were recently given portfolios, almost two months after the by poll results were out.

However, the portfolio distribution has left a few of the rebels unhappy and one of them is BC Patil, who has made sure that he gets what he wants.

Patil was earlier given Forest portfolio. This had left him unhappy as he was expecting agriculture.

It is said that Patil raised the issue with Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa and has managed to get Agriculture ministry for himself. The agriculture ministry was with Home Minister Basavraj Bommai. Forest Ministry will be handed over Bommai now.

The renewed list of ministers has been sent to the Governor.

Ramesh Jarakiholi has been given water resource, Dr K Sudharkar has been given medical education, Anand Singh gets Food and Civil Supplies, Seemanth Patil gets Textile, Narayana Gowda gets Civic administration and horticulture, ST Somashekar gets co-op, Shivaram Hebbar gets Labour, Byrathi Basavaraju gets Urban Development, Gopalaiah gets small industries.

Athani MLA Mahesh Kamatalli was given MSIL Chairman’s post, which he has refused to accept. One may have to wait and watch what Kamatalli will be given in a bid to end discontentment in the rebel faction.
