Bengaluru: In a big relief, CM BS Yediyurappa has finally managed to convince B Sreeramulu to accept Social Welfare Department.

The CM was able to bring sulking Sreeramulu and Dr K Sudhakar together at his residence and both of them agreed to forget their past differences.

It may be recalled that in a sudden development, Health Ministry was taken away from B Sreeramulu and given to Dr Sudhakar. Ramulu was given Social Welfare department, which has left him uhappy.

Soon after this shuffle, many speculated that Ramulu was going resign as he felt insulted by the move of the CM. Meanwhile, Ramulu had aired his grievances to BJP National leadership too.

However, in latest development, Ramulu has agreed to accept Social Welfare department and later speaking to reporters, Sreeramulu said that he had asked for the Social Welfare department long ago, but his demand was not met for various reasons.

“Now, I have got the portfolio of my choice. I am happy that Dr Sudhakar, who is a medical doctor by profession will handle Health department. He will handle the COVID-19 situation even more efficiently. We will all work together to combat the pandemic,” said Sreeramulu.

Meanwhile, Dr Sudhakar, calling Sreeramulu his senior, said that the decision of handing over Health Department and Medical education to one Minister was to set right some loopholes in co-ordinatiom between two departments.
